White Tea Exploration Set

This set is designed for anyone who wants to explore the differences within white tea a little more deeply. Alongside Amber and Solstice, we’ve included 15g of a 2019 Yunnan white tea from exactly the same tea farms as Solstice, but with two key differences: it was compressed into a cake after production, and it’s five years older.

This gives you a really interesting opportunity to compare white teas five years apart, and then take another seven-year step back to Amber. Think of it as three snapshots of white tea at different points in its life.

Try the 2019 tea in a thermos and you'll really notice the difference. Unlike Amber, it doesn't quite thrive with such a long brew, becoming a little too peppery and bitter. Brew it in a pot for a minute or two, however, and it's fantastic—noticeably mellower than Solstice, while still retaining some of the character they share.
